our story

Way back in 2017—before Covid quarantines and conservative coups—Richard was flipping through Tinder and landed on the profile of a self-proclaimed solar-powered beach goth. He superliked her. They went on their first date on September 26th at Cat House, a cozy bar in Oakland with comfy vintage couches and tasty cocktails. They hit it off so well that they didn’t part ways until the bartender shouted out last call. Five years later, on the anniversary of their first date, they exchanged vows at Leadbetter Beach amongst close family. Now, they spend most of their mornings lying in bed for hours cracking jokes. On their days off, they go hiking, camping, and skating, and most evenings you’ll find theme doing crossword puzzles at the their favorite bars or going to local shows and events.
